Entenda porque a energia solar pode ser uma grande aliada para frear o aquecimento global

Ano após ano, é possível acompanhar o agravamento do aquecimento global como reflexo dos impactos ambientais causados pela atividade humana. Dados do relatório especial do Painel Intergovernamental sobre Mudanças Climáticas (IPCC), divulgado pela ONU em 2018, já previam que, sem os cuidados necessários, em aproximadamente trinta anos é possível que se dobre o grau do aquecimento atual. Esse número já aumentou em torno de 0,5°C nos últimos 100 anos, e pode chegar a 2ºC antes da metade do século, atingindo o mínimo seguro para se viver no planeta Terra.

Os consumidores do meio rural respondem por 13,2% da potência instalada de energia solar no país, atrás apenas dos consumidores residenciais (40,7%) e comércio e serviços (36,6%). Em número de estruturas instaladas, o campo responde por 7% do total, também atrás de consumidores residenciais (75,2%) e empresas de comércio e serviços (15,2%). A informação é da Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica (Absolar).

Brasil entra no top 10 de países que mais instalaram energia solar em 2020

O Brasil subiu para 9º no ranking de países que mais instalaram energia solar em 2020. O levantamento, feito pela Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica (Absolar) a partir de dados do International Energy Agency Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (IEA PVPS), inclui tanto grandes usinas quanto pequenos sistemas.

How does solar energy work when it rains?

However, this doesn't mean that your photovoltaic system will stop working altogether. Moreover, rain contributes to the maintenance of your solar panels by removing dirt and other elements that might impair their operation. So, even with the low light caused by rainy weather, your system will continue to work, though more slowly.
Does solar energy work on cloudy days?
As happens on rainy days, there's also a drop in the generation of solar energy on cloudy days. Cloud formation reduces the amount of sunlight that reaches the solar panels, minimizing the production of energy. However, solar panels have been developed especially for situations like this, being able to take advantage of the reduced amount of sunlight caused by clouds. As such, with the generation of energy produced by the sun behind the clouds, regular use of energy produced by the sun behind the clouds becomes easier.
